Hi Gang,
Yesterday, we launched the second Pulse Check survey to better understand how you are navigating hiring decisions, evaluating strategic pivots, and addressing morale challenges. We are eager to compare the results to the data we received two months ago. (Early returns indicate dramatic shifts in some areas and absolutely no movement in others.) If you haven’t yet, please take just a few minutes to complete this survey. We will leave this open another 24 hours and report results next week.
News & Resources
Opinion: Patient care needs, mortality, inevitability are with us always – thoughtful piece written by an internal medicine physician in Atlanta
Edelman Trust Barometer – very interesting global survey about credible communications (preview: employers are the most trusted sources, and 80% feel their employer is better prepared than their country)
Webinar: HR Leadership Through – and Beyond – the COVID Crisis – On May 22 at 8 am PT, our CEO will be facilitating another panel discussion with heads of HR (Gilead, Google, Neiman Marcus, Coinbase). Food Fight – send me yours!
Today’s winner is Grace Colón, President & CEO of InCarda Therapeutics, who is juggling so many things yet still has time to cook an amazing meal at the end of the day.
Chef’s comments: “I love to cook, and even though I’m in the midst of fundraising for our Series C, and have three teenagers and a dog (oh, and a hubby, too…!) at home, I try to cook a few times a week. I’m a long-time (mostly) vegetarian, and I love vegan food. This is a recipe I saw in the WSJ the other day. It’s a version of an old wonderful staple, African peanut stew. It’s super easy, and you can get creative with swapping out ingredients and toppings. I took a picture of it next to the little light board my kids put up for Mother’s Day. I’m keeping it up as long as I can! 😊”

Cuteness Contest
Speaking of Super Moms, today’s winner is our very own Gabby Lajoie here at RRA, who is giving Sarah Boyce a run for her money fostering a momma dog and her four pups.
Foster Mom’s comments: “We are fostering a very hard working momma to four girl pups. Thank you to Milo Foundation for pulling her out of Bakersfield and saving their lives. The work you do is so important.”

Fostering puppies seems to be all the rage these days…

A Little Levity
