About Vital signs
The date was March 11, 2020. Eager to reconvene and discuss leadership challenges, ~50 biotech CEOs planned to gather in San Francisco to mix and mingle. Then COVID hit. Vital Signs started as a simple email thread among the group to ask, "How are you holding up? How's morale? What protocols do you have in place? Are you hiring people you've never met?" It was quickly evident that we needed each other more than ever. We pivoted from “reply all” to a more inclusive format. Vital Signs now reaches active community of over 1000 C-suite leaders to share ideas, best practices and sources of inspiration. Welcome!

I love this African proverb. Although in fairness, I like going fast AND going far… but I believe we can do both! That’s why I’m so passionate about building communities. Early in my career, I saw the impact of this firsthand. Corporate Executive Board (CEB) made a lucrative business out of scaling insights. The fundamental concept was: You are not alone. Someone, somewhere, has faced the same challenges. Let’s unearth great ideas and foster collective problem-solving. I followed that ethos to other great institutions like World 50, GLG and now Russell Reynolds, and have had the privilege of leveraging powerful platforms to foster connectivity. My day job is executive search. As a member of the Healthcare Practice at RRA, I lead C-suite and board searches in biopharma and health tech, with a focus on venture-backed healthcare.
