Hey Gang,
Last week, I talked about the potential clog we could experience as shelter orders ease. This study is disconcerting (and covers areas outside of SF as well):
Study Predicts Post-Lockdown Traffic In Bay Area Will Be a Nightmare. Time to get a bike, folks! Some of you know that I got an electric bike a few years ago. I know, I know. I’ve lost respect from the real-deal cycling crowd. But I live in San Francisco (at the top of Nob Hill). You’ve hiked up that thing to get to the Fairmont during JPM – surely you understand. And if you have to travel some distance, it’s a delightful way to get around without having to shower afterwards. Did you know the bike business is booming during COVID? (And not just Peloton bikes!) Hopefully another healthy habit we develop and hang on to after this thing lifts.

Chef’s comments: “I bought a 25-pound bag of flour at Costco. Why? Because I could. So, today was beef empanadas – some to be frozen, some to be shared with friends at an upcoming socially distant cocktail thing.”
