Hi Gang,
A funny thing happened last weekend. I went into SF for the long weekend, and every place I stopped, I ran into a familiar face. I can’t remember the last time I just RAN INTO someone. My reaction was totally over the top. “OH! MY! GAWWWWWD!!!! HELLLLLOOO!!!!” They looked genuinely alarmed… as if they ran into this guy…
Boy, do I miss running into people. (I once ran into my own sister in a small town in North Carolina… neither of us lived there. Blew my mind.) There’s a really cool connection in that moment, when two people happen to be in the same place. “You’re here. I’m here. Great minds!” Even at conferences when you know who’s attending, it’s nice to see folks you know and experience that moment of connection. Serendipity is energizing! Sigh. One of many reasons It's Not Just You. A Lot Of Us Are Hitting A Pandemic Wall Right Now.
